We are looking for an organized and goal-oriented General Manager to manage all aspects of the business including F&B COGs, labor cost, overall standards, maintenance, sales, marketing initiatives, and training. Someone who will strive for the highest practices in the venue and ensure that guests receive the best possible overall experience.
Job Description
- Run the venue in parallel with provided budgets and in accord with the business plan of the venue
- Develop accurate and sound long and short-range financial objectives consistent with the company's mission statement
- Ensure that the venue is fully operational on a daily basis and that all departments are fully staffed and on par with the labor cost set in the business plan
- Ensure all maintenance issues are to always been communicated to the Facility Manager and followed up until completion
- Ensure that all staff members are consistently trained on company standards, product knowledge and that they are always tested on the same
- Ensure that all training documents & bibles are up to date
- Ensure that all employees personal files are up to date with all their training documents, tests results and sign off sheets
- Oversee the recruitment process by always leading the second interview and having the final say on the hiring of line staff or new members of the management team for the venue
- Always get approval of the Operations Director when making an offer to a new employee; par levels and budgets have to be consistently reviewed by the Operations Manager & the General Manager
- Ensure that all cash outs, banking and money handling is done as per company procedures
- Spot check PMC on a weekly basis to ensure that batch recipes & wastages are consistently done and recorded
- Ensure that all end of probation reviews are done by the end of departments and filed with the H.R department once done
- Conduct staff appraisals every 6 months for all employees of the venue; appraisal forms to be submitted to the Operations Manager for review and signing off before being placed in the staff member’s personal file
- Ensure that all staff schedules are posted on the Wednesday by 6pm for the upcoming
- Implement and maintain appropriate cleaning schedules in the venue
- To spot check the food & drinks quality during service hours
- To be present during special events or large functions in the venue
- Ensure that the holding stocks for food and beverage are always kept to a minimal and on par with the levels set by the Operations/Finance department
- Review the variance reports for the venue on a weekly basis
- To develop a very good relationship and good communication with all the departments Solutions Leisure & HHH (cost control, I.T, H.R, Finance, Purchasing, etc.)
- Develop & maintain an excellent working relationship with suppliers, contractors & partners involved with your venue
- To develop a close working relationship with the General Managers of each of the Solutions Leisure Group units
- Ensure a weekly management meeting is held with the management team and record the minutes in the Drop box folder provided by the Operations Manager
- Ensure attendance the weekly Operations meeting with the Operations Manager – minutes to be saved in the provided Drop box folder
- Attend any meetings requested by Solutions Leisure senior management team and also ensure that a monthly staff meetings is held with the entire team working in the venue
- Ensure that the payroll process is done accurately by overseeing the attendance report, holiday forms and authorizing the payroll before submitting it to the Operations Manager
- Consolidate as well as balance the venue’s petty cash and ensure that the floats given to the venues always balance out and are always ready for auditing
- Oversee the security department and the service provided by the contracted company
- Monitor the performance of the venue through verification and analysis of guest satisfaction systems and financial reports
- Maintain product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations and investigating complaints
- Understands the government regulations affecting venue’s operations, ensuring the venue is operated in compliance with all the applicable laws, ordinances, regulations, and requirements of any state or municipal authority
- Ensure any suspicious packages or parcels reported to management are assessed and reported without delay to the relevant authorities
- To act as a positive ambassador for the business
- Carry out any other reasonable request asked by the Directors
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor Degree in Management or any related fields
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar role within F&B/Hospitality industry
- Valid UAE Driving License is a plus
- Able to demonstrate exceptional leadership and strategic management
- With sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
