Waiter/Waitress

Job Description

• Be fully familiar with every beverage and dish served in the Bar and Restaurant and provide explanations as requested
• Clean agreed designated areas, in accordance with laid-down procedures, morning/evening routines and hygiene requirements
• Ensure that table set up and decorations are according to agreed standards
• Set tables as per standards and ensure that all items used are clean, undamaged and in a good state of repair (report any damages to the Head Waiter)
• Ensure sideboards on stations are adequately stocked with replacement cutlery, napkins or other established needs, be they food or equipment
• Guide guests during their experience (menu and ingredient knowledge)
• Take orders from guests and serve food and beverages in a professional and courteous manner
• Ensure that customers are correctly charged, present the bill and take payment from the customer, in accordance with the procedures of the establishment
• To be aware and practice good customer relations, assisting the guest in any way which does not adversely affect other customers
• Attend all compulsory training sessions
• Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene and dress code at all times
• Report any suspicious packages or parcels to management without delay
• Take part in any fire or evacuation drills and ensure complete familiarization with all exits including those normally used by customers, as well as fire escapes
• Carry out any other reasonable request asked by the management
